Davide loves the swing. As he soars back and forth, he dreams of floating through space like an astronaut, drifting as lightly as a soap bubble, or being launched into the sky like a human cannonball. Endless adventures unfold around him, brought to life by the power of his imagination.

Linda wishes she could swing that high too, but she’s too scared, so she waits patiently, hoping Davide will climb down so they can play together. Instead, he invites her to give it a try. As he gently pushes her, Linda is swept into the wonderful world of imagination. Now she dreams of being an astronaut, then a trapeze artist, and then an Olympic diver.

The best thing about a swing, though, is that if you scoot a little closer, there’s room for two, and that’s when imagining together becomes the greatest adventure of all.
